Obuchowski Kitchen

When the Obuchowski’s contacted me to see if I could help them update their kitchen, I was excited for the challenge! They wanted to add a lot more color, with clean lines, and modern accents. The kitchen was painted gray with dark oak cabinets, dark granite countertops, and a stone backsplash. They also had a built-in desk that was rarely used, and a tiny pantry.

We chose to replace all of the cabinet fronts with shaker-style doors and drawers, and the cabinetry received a fresh coat of white paint. We replaced the dark granite with white quartz, and the stone backsplash with emerald, geometric tile. We knocked down the island so that it was all one height, and replaced the sink with a single-basin apron-front sink. The biggest, and most exciting change, was to rip out the existing built-in desk and pantry and replace it with one large custom-designed pantry that reaches all the way to the ceiling. We switched out the light fixtures, added gold accents, painted all of the walls white, and added new window treatments. The new space is almost unrecognizable!
