Garner Refresh

One of my really good friends reached out for help with her home decor. She was tired of how dark her home felt, but was unsure what to do. She knew she needed a fresh coat of paint on the walls, so now was the time to make some other updates as well. After we finished picking out new lighting, paint, curtains, and artwork, her home suffered a slab leak, so she got a new floor too!

Tip #1: If your home does not have very much natural light, choose a light color paint for most of the walls. We chose Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams.

Tip #2: If your room is too dark, remove blinds completely or open them during the day to allow for maximum natural light.

We painted the back wall a dark, inky blue, painted the china cabinet, and moved it to a prominent wall, added curtains, and new lighting. We also rotated the table, so that it did not block the walkway to the kitchen.

We also gave the entry way a quick update, with a freshly painted blue door that matches the dining room, new artwork, and lighting.
